Mana is a collection of plant-based foods that deliver all nutrients essential for proper functioning of the human body. This includes all vitamins and minerals, protein, fat, carbohydrates, and fibre.
Mana drinks and powders are intended for use as a healthy alternative to traditional food, and can be used anytime you need a quick fix on the go, or simply don’t feel like cooking. Though they taste great by themselves, they also make a perfect base for smoothies and cakes.
Mana powders and drinks are intended for consumption by all healthy adults. They are also suitable for children and adolescents between 3 and 18 years of age. However, keep in mind that Mana powders and drinks should not serve as full substitutes for a varied diet for persons in this age range; instead, they should be treated as healthy alternatives to fast food and "vending-machine" food. In case of any doubts, please consult a professional physician.
Mana products are not intended for diagnostic or medicinal purposes. Do not consume during periods of illness or other health restrictions, pregnancy, or breastfeeding, without first consulting a professional physician.
Mana powders and drinks come in a rotating variety of flavors. See our product page for the most up-to-date selection. Our staple flavor, Origin, has a neutral, subtly sweet oat taste. Though delicious by itself, it can be mixed with a range of other ingredients. Try it with fruit, vegetables, spices, or nut butters.
Every drink flavour varies subtly from its powder equivalent. This has to do with their slightly different production processes and composition.
Mana offers 2 core foods: powders mixable with water or other liquid, and ready-made drinks.
ManaPowder is a nutritionally complete food powder that provides your body with all it needs to live. It is mixable with water and other liquids, and can be measured in exact proportions using the stainless steel measuring scoop that comes with our Starter Kit (the scoop can be ordered separately as well). Though it tastes great by itself, it also makes a perfect base for smoothies and cakes.
ManaDrink is a ready-made drink that requires no mixing or preparation. Just shake, open, and drink. Though our drinks are still nutritionally complete in the same sense as our powders, their composition, flavour, and nutritional values vary slightly. For example, unlike ManaPowder, ManaDrink contains no arabic gum and no xanthan gum; instead, it contains a cellulose-based thickener.
We also offer a number of accessories, such as the Starter Kit for Mana powder, which includes a durable, 1l Nalgene bottle and stainless steel measuring scoop. In case you have your own bottle, the stainless steel measuring scoop can be purchased separately. In terms of merch, we only offer Mana t-shirts for now, but are currently working on a range of other merch items which will soon be available.
Last but not least, we have recently completed development of the ManaBurger™ - a complete-nutrition plant burger intended as a full alternative to beef for vegans, vegetarians, and meat-lovers alike. Just like our drinks and powders, it contains everything your body needs to live. However, knowing that it would normally be eaten with a bun, our food scientists intentionally made it low-carb. Sales of the burger are expected to launch in 2020.

You can lose, gain, or maintain weight with Mana just like with any other food; namely, by ensuring that your caloric intake is lower than, higher than, or equal to your caloric expenditure. However, one of the advantages of losing, gaining, or maintaining weight with Mana is that it is very easy to portion, thus allowing you to keep exact track of the calories and quantities of nutrients you consume. But whatever your diet plan, remember that Mana is first and foremost a complete-nutrition food intended for healthy adults and children, not an aid for weight loss, gain, or maintenance.
Protein is responsible for the growth and maintenance of muscles and bones.
One serving of Mana Powder Mark 6 delivers 21 g of protein. This protein comes from 6 different sources: soy, peas, oats, hemp, rice, and algae. One serving of Mana Drink delivers 20 g of protein per serving, most of which comes from soy and oats, while traces come from other ingredients. According to the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), the average daily protein requirement for adults is 0.66 g protein/kg body weight.
Among plant proteins (rice, pea, hemp, etc.), soy protein is superior in terms of digestibility and amino acid profile. However, the latest clinical studies suggest that plant protein ranks second to animal protein in these respects, which is why we have increased the protein content in Mana above that which is recommended by the EFSA.
It is also worth mentioning that soy is sometimes accused of offsetting natural hormonal balances in men and women by providing an excess of phytoestrogens. This has not been proven conclusively. On the contrary, the latest research indicates that soy phytoestrogens do not upset the balance of estrogens in healthy people. Nevertheless, we isolate our soy protein using state-of-the-art technology that minimises the concentration of phytoestrogens in the end product.
The spectrum of amino acids from proteins contained in Mana is full.

Fats are essential to proper functioning of the human body. They are a source of vitamins and long-term energy (i.e. fatty acids), and are a major part of what makes Mana smooth and filling.
In our latest recipe powder recipe, Mark 6, there are 6 main sources of fat: algae oil, coconut oil, flaxseed oil, sunflower oil, canola oil, and oat oil. In our drinks, there are 5 main sources of fat: algae oil, coconut oil, flaxseed oil, sunflower oil, and canola oil. These deliver ALA, EPA, and DHA omega-3 fatty acids, all of which are essential to proper bodily function. Additional lipids come from soy lecithin, oat fibre, and soy protein.
For information on exactly how much saturated and unsaturated fat is in Origin Mark 6 Powder, click here. For all drinks, click here.
There is no cholesterol or trans fat in Mana Powder or Mana Drink.
Carbohydrates deliver quick energy and, along with protein and fat, are essential to proper functioning of the human body, especially the brain.
The sources of carbohydrates in Mana include:
- Maltodextrin - a carbohydrate that comes from corn.
- Palatinose - a sugar that comes from beetroot.
- Oat fibre with beta-glucans.
- Arabic and xanthan gum.
Mana also contains sucralose, an artificial sweetener. Though not natural, it is much safer and better-tasting than many natural sweeteners, and it mixes perfectly with the other ingredients of Mana.
According to an original study we conducted in cooperation with Charles University and the Kralovske Vinohrady University Hospital in Prague, Czech Republic, Mana Drink can be considered a rather low-carbohydrate food. The study also found that Mana Drink has a relatively low glycemic index (29) and insulin index (41), making it suitable for use by diabetics within a framework of complex dietary treatment. We believe the same is true of Mana Powder, given its nutritional composition is nearly identical to that of Mana Drink. The results of the study can be read here.

The benefits of fibre are many. Among others, it aids digestion, boosts immunity, and keeps you feeling full after a meal.
There are 8 types of fibre in our latest powder recipe, Mark 6: oat fiber with significant beta-glucan content, soluble chicory fiber (also known as inulin), carrot fiber, cellulose, and fiber from hemp, peas, soy, and algae.. Most of the fibre in all other drinks and powders comes from oat beta-glucans, oat cellulose, hemicellulose, arabic gum, and xanthan gum (trace amounts come from other sources). Although Mana itself is cholesterol-free, beta-glucans help keep overall cholesterol levels down.
Fibre also plays a role in keeping Mana's glycemic index (GI) low. For more information on GI, see the "Carbohydrates" section above, or the section regarding diabetics in the "Is Mana suitable for me?" category.

For detailed information on what they do in the body, click here. For more information on their exact amounts in our latest powder recipe, Mark 6, click here. For all drinks, click here.

Origin. Origin drink and powder contain no artificial colouring, which is why they have an "off white" colour. Their neutral, oat flavour is a natural result of the ingredients we use.
Choco. Choco drink and powder get their colour and flavour from cocoa. The cocoa we use is the mildest and tastiest in the world.
Approximately 99.5% of the ingredients in Mana Powder and Mana Drink are natural. The remaining ingredients are perfectly safe, certified, and have a long history of use in food.
No. Mana is 100% GMO-free.
The health claims we make are based on scientific evaluations of the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) and WHO (World Health Organization), 2 of our own clinical studies, and more than 40 clinical studies on our ingredients and the nutrients therein.

Our 2 proprietary clinical studies concerned the glycemic and insulin indices of Mana Drink, and were conducted in cooperation with Charles University and the Kralovske Vinohrady University Hospital in Prague, Czech Republic. The studies found that Mana Drink has a relatively low glycemic index (29) and insulin index (41), making it suitable for use by diabetics within a framework of complex dietary treatment. Mana is not intended for diagnostic or medicinal purposes. Do not consume during periods of illness or other health restrictions, pregnancy, or breastfeeding, without first consulting a professional physician.
In general, ManaDrink and ManaPowder are suitable for all healthy adults, but because the nutritional needs of pregnant/breastfeeding women may vary (for example, the recommended daily intake of some vitamins or minerals may be higher than average), we strictly recommend consulting a professional physician before including Mana in your diet if pregnant or breastfeeding.
Diets based on foods with low glycemic/insulin indices and low carbohydrate content have been repeatedly demonstrated to help control diabetes and reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications.
In cooperation with Charles University and the Kralovske Vinohrady University Hospital in Prague, Czech Republic, we carried out a clinical study on the glycemic/insulin indices of ManaDrink. The study found that ManaDrink has a relatively low glycemic index (29) and insulin index (41), as well as relatively low carbohydrate content, making it suitable for use by diabetics within a framework of complex dietary treatment. We believe the same is true of ManaPowder, given its nutritional composition is nearly identical to that of ManaDrink. The results of the study can be read here.
Despite the above, we recommend that diabetics consult a professional physician before including Mana in their diet.
ManaPowder and ManaDrink contain no animal products and are suitable for all healthy adult vegans. No milk, eggs, or other animal products are processed on our production line.
Because Mana is entirely plant-based, however, many customers have wondered where we get our vitamin B12. We can assure you that the B12 in Mana is not of animal origin; instead, it's produced biotechnically using a specific microorganism.
You can lose, gain, or maintain weight with Mana just like with any other food; namely, by ensuring that your caloric intake is lower than, higher than, or equal to your caloric expenditure. Both ManaPowder and ManaDrink contain soy protein, soy lecithin, and small amounts of gluten. Aside from these, they contain no allergens listed in Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 (including lactose and nuts).

Of course, it depends on the airline and destination country, but many of our customers have confirmed that it is possible to transport Mana by plane. We are unaware of any problems with transportation of Mana in checked baggage to Europe, China, and the USA. In most cases, sealed pouches of ManaPowder should be transportable in hand baggage, but we do not recommend transporting ManaDrink in hand baggage, as most airlines forbid the transportation of liquids in quantities over 100 ml in hand baggage.
If you are interested, we can send you a statement that Mana is a food in powder/drink form. We have a separate statement for the powder and the drink, so please be sure to specify which statement you want, or ask for both. Just contact us at magic@drink-mana.com.
We also recommend consulting your airline and/or reviewing their guidelines for transportation of food and liquids.
Although it tastes great by itself, Mana can be combined with any other foods. In our experience, it mixes well with fruits, vegetables, spices, and nut butters.
Combination with nutritional supplements is also possible, but be careful not to exceed the maximum recommended intake for any nutrient. For example, long-term intake of excessive amounts of protein may burden the liver and kidneys. For detailed nutrition information on our latest powder recipe, Mark 6, click here. For all drinks, click here.
In case of any doubts, please consult a professional physician or nutritional therapist.
Mana Powder and Mana Drink do not require refrigeration, but should be stored in a dark, dry place at temperatures not exceeding 25 °C. Protect from heat and direct sunlight.
Assuming proper storage, the shelf life of an originally sealed pouch of Mana Powder Mark 6 is 18 months from the date of manufacture. Once opened, pouches can be stored for 1 month. Once mixed with water, Mana Powder can be kept for up to 24 hours in a closed, refrigerated bottle; in case it cannot be refrigerated, we recommend consuming it immediately.
Assuming proper storage, the shelf life of an unopened bottle of Mana Drink is 1 year from the date of manufacture. Once opened, Mana Drink can be kept for up to 24 hours in a refrigerator; in case it cannot be refrigerated, we recommend consuming it immediately.
If you plan on using Mana as more than just an occasional snack, we recommend easing yourself into it over the course of at least a week.
Though your body should adjust quickly, some consumers have reported initial complications such as bloating and irregular digestion. Whether you experience this will depend on several factors, including your previous eating habits, as well as how much of your food intake you decide to replace with Mana. Initial complications are usually related to Mana's high protein and fibre content. In case of problems, you can take a digestive aid such as Pangrol. If you have any doubts, or if difficulties persist, stop consuming Mana and consult a physician. Feel free to provide them with the relevant nutrition label. For our latest recipe of Origin Powder, Mark 6, find the label here. For all drinks, find it here.
Some consumers have also reported a lack of satiation during the initial phase of consumption. This is because Mana, as a liquid food, passes faster through the gastrointestinal tract, so your stomach is less "busy" after consumption of Mana than after consumption of traditional foods. After a week or two, your stomach should adjust.

ManaDrink, although it can be made a part of other foods like smoothies, is primarily intended as a standalone, ready-to-drink food. Once opened, it can be kept for up to 24 hours in a refrigerator; in case it cannot be refrigerated, we recommend consuming it immediately.
ManaPowder, on the other hand, must be mixed with water or other liquid before consumption (alternatively, it can be baked into cakes, pies, etc.). The best way to mix it is using our Starter Kit, which includes a stainless steel measuring scoop and a BPA/BPS-free 1l Mana bottle. If you have your own bottle, the stainless steel measuring scoop can be bought separately here.
The standard portion of Mana Powder is 2 scoops (400 kcal) using our stainless steel measuring scoop. In the absence of a Mana scoop, 5 heaped tablespoons is a good approximation. Just put it into a bottle and mix with 300 ml of liquid. Shake thoroughly. For less clumping, shake thoroughly, then let the powder and liquid sit together for a minute, then shake thoroughly again. Once mixed, Mana Powder can be kept for up to 24 hours in a closed, refrigerated bottle; in case it cannot be refrigerated, we recommend consuming it immediately. Once opened, pouches can be stored for 1 month.

Mana Drink comes in recyclable Tetra Paks, which protect its taste, texture, and nutritional value for up to 12 months without preservatives or refrigeration.
Mana Powder comes in PET/ALU/PP packs, which are multilayer pouches recyclable as plastic, packed in boxes made primarily of recycled paper.
